Kiev (Fides Service) - On 12 November the Archbishop Major of Lviv of the Ukrainians Cardinal Lubomyr Husar inaugurated the Don Orione Divine Providence House: the first Orionina house to be opened in Ukraine which will work in the field of evangelisation and solidarity. Present at the ceremony of inauguration besides the provincial director of Piccola Opera della Divina Provvidenza, Rev. Pierangelo Ondei, about a hundred young people.
According to the Opera Don Orione media office at the beginning of October work was started to rearrange the structure of about 170sq. mt., renamed “Don Orione Divine Providence House ". Rev Egidio Montanari, director of the Orionini community in Leopoli, said the work consisted of only minor repairs: painting, repairing windows and doors, some floors and general cleaning. "This is a little Orionino seed in Ukraine - said Moreno Cattelan, Orionino in Leopoli for some years and also a sign from Divine Providence who wants us in the great country to bear witness to Christ’s love and the Church of Rome".
