Ad-Damir (Agenzia Fides) - Members of the Sudanese Parliament have declared that several people have died of thirst in the Red Sea and the Blue Nile, where there is a severe shortage of drinking water. The authorities have requested the supply of tankers to transport water in the affected area. The catastrophic floods registered during the rainy season have worsened the already precarious situation, which was followed by a watery diarrhea epidemic that killed thousands of people.
