ASIA/YEMEN - 10,000 children have died due to preventable diseases

Sana'a (Agenzia Fides) - The humanitarian crisis in Yemen continues to worsen. Since last March at least 10,000 children under 5 years of age have died due to preventable diseases. The rate of malnutrition continues to grow and currently there are over 2 million malnourished Yemenis, including 370,000 children.
The United Nations said that the humanitarian crisis in the country is rising and 80% of the population urgently needs food. (AP) (Agenzia Fides 11/11/2016)
