Seoul (Agenzia Fides) - "We find God, not worshiping images or beautiful words, but when we apply the teachings that the Bible reveals to us": this is how Archbishop Osvaldo Padilla, Apostolic Nuncio in Korea, addressed young Korean Catholics, during the celebration ot the closing Mass of the "Youth biblical Movement" laboratory.
Young people concluded a time of study and reflection-comparison on the book of Exodus. "Re-reading the Exodus in the Jubilee of Mercy - said Archbishop Padilla - means first of all to remember that we are the recipients of the mercy of God. We are sinners, but God is always ready to forgive. When we talk about charity, we often mean charity towards others, but the true meaning of charity is that we ourselves are the first beneficiaries of God’s Charity, who loves us. Recognizing that God loves us, then we can love others".
The closing Mass, celebrated recently in Seoul, was attended by about 450 young people, in addition to 11 priests. The Archbishop reminded them: "Pope Francis looks at you as the future of the Church in Korea and in Asia. This is why he came to Korea in 2014, during the Asian Youth Day. He brought the Gospel to all you. "The youth Bible Movement was founded in Korea in 1972. (PA) (Agenzia Fides 18/02/2016)
