Lyon (Fides Service) - With a solemn concelebration of Mass on 14 October in St John Baptist Cathedral in Lyon the Year of Mission in France was officially opened. The Mass was presided by Cardinal Philippe Barbarin archbishop of Lyon and animated by the cathedral groups for missionary cooperation and sacramental and liturgical pastoral. Concelebrants included five priests representing the continents of the world: a priest from China and another from Korea for Asia, a Colombian for America, a Rwandan for Africa and a Polish priest for Europe.
