Vatican City (Fides Service) - The Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI on 1 September, accepted the resignation of the pastoral government of the diocese of Sivagangai (India), presented by Bishop Edward Francis in conformity with the Code of Canon Law, can. 401 § 1, who is succeeded by Bishop Jebamalai Susaimanickam Coadjutor of the same diocese.
