Istanbul (Agenzia Fides) - Some works of art directly or indirectly related to the history of the Armenian Genocide has been exhibited for the first time at the Istanbul Biennial, from September 5 to November 1. This was reported by Turkish sources to Agenzia Fides. The curators of the Biennial announced that this year the event - organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts - will host the works of art of 13 Armenian artists, stressing that even in this case the power of art has guaranteed to all a new and non-confrontational approach to an issue still considered taboo in many Turkish environments.
The Turkish press also informed that on October 30th the film Lost Birds will be screened in Turkey, the first film produced in Turkey on the Armenian Genocide. In the film, the tragic events of 1915 are seen through the eyes of two children, a brother and a sister. (GV) (Agenzia Fides 09/09/2015)
