AFRICA/CENTRAL AFRICA - Archbishop of Bangui pays a visit to former Seleka rebels again

Tuesday, 30 December 2014

Bangui (Agenzia Fides) – On Christmas Eve His Exc. Mgr. Dieudonné Nzapalainga, Archbishop of Bangui, went to the reception camps of former Seleka guerrillas near the capital of the Central African Republic.
The delegation led by the Archbishop brought food aid, soap and children’s clothes to the hundreds of former soldiers gathered with their families in three camps near the city.
"For two hours, I listened to their complaints, because they repeatedly stated that no one goes to visit them", said Mgr. Nzapalainga. Central Africa is slowly coming out of the civil war. (L.M.) (Agenzia Fides 30/12/2014)
