AFRICA/MADAGASCAR - A chain of prayer broadcast by radio Haja prepares World Mission day in the Diocese of Antsirabé

Antananarivo (Agenzia Fides) - The Diocese of Antsirabe in Madagascar celebrates World Mission Sunday preceded by weeks of preparation marked by moments of prayer and missionary animation. This is what Fr. Serge Faraklin Andrialalainarivo, Diocesan Director of Pontifical Mission Societies of the radio Antsirabé and Director Haja diocese tells Fides, every parish in the diocese takes part in a prayer chain transmitted by radio Haja. On 21 October Archbishop Philippe Ranaivomanana, Bishop of Antsirabé, presided at a Mass during which a nun of the Sisters of Trinitarian of Valancia in Ambohipeno professed her vows. The Solemn Mass for World Mission Sunday will be broadcast live by Radio Haja. During the ceremony, a young Malagasy nun of the Congregation of Workers of St. Paul in Freiburg will profess the perpetual vows. (L.M.) (Agenzia Fides 22/10/2011)
