EUROPE/CZECH REPUBLIC - A "missionary bridge of prayer" and a video clip for World Mission Day

Prague (Agenzia Fides) - On the occasion of World Mission Day 2011, the national leadership of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) in the Czech Republic, have launched the initiative to create a "missionary bridge of prayer". According to information sent to Fides, on the eve of World Mission Day, therefore on Saturday evening, October 22, at 9pm, all those who wish to join the initiative are invited to meet in church or in their homes, to light a candle and to pray for the missions, for the missionaries, for the poor, for those who are suffering, so that the joy of the Gospel is spread throughout the world. the recitation of the rosary or other missionary prayers are suggested. Those who want to create this "bridge" is requested to notify the national leadership of the PMS.
Always in light of World Mission Day, a new video clip was made, in English, which illustrates one of the four Pontifical Mission Societies: The Society for the Propagation of the Faith. The images are taken from the celebration of the Easter Vigil in a community in Zambia, taken during a mission trip, while the Secretary General of the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, Fr.
