Wednesday, 27 July 2011

Buenos Aires (Agenzia Fides) - Fr. Victor Manuel Fernandez, Rector of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina "Santa María de los Buenos Aires" (UCA), and Don Osvaldo Pablo Leone National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies of Argentina (PMS), have signed an agreement of mutual cooperation.
"The agreement –as read in a note sent to Fides - aims at strengthening ecclesial communion and consolidating the vocation of missionary disciples so that priests, nuns and lay people who attend the center of Missiology for the Southern Cone "Juan Pablo II ", are illuminated by the example and teachings of Blessed John Paul II".
"At the same time- continuous the note-one tries to promote through programs of common interest, the coordination of joint activities (seminars, conferences, mutual consulting), the integration of working groups of common interest, annual workshops, the preparation of texts for the formation and meeting places and of prayer for God's people, the missionary spirit has to be in tune with the encyclical Redemptoris Missio; in order to establish a firm and clear option for the formation of the members of our community, with a universal heart, open to all cultures and to be willing to turn the mission mandate of Jesus into reality: "Go around the whole world and preach the gospel to every creature".
