Kinshasa (Agenzia Fides) - The second wing of the primary school "EP Santu Maria Mama wa Mosala" (Holy Mary, Mother of Labour) and a new home in Cité Guanella, in the plateau des Bateke in the rural areas of the city of Kinshasa was inaugurated. Three classrooms, a library room, a large multipurpose room, rooms for accommodation for at least six teachers and trainers and toilets for students. This is the result of the enlargement of the primary school, just inaugurated. "We now have a total of nine classrooms, a direction, a staff room, 4 areas for toilets, 2 housing areas for teachers and trainers, library and hall for meetings; all with solar lighting and electricity", this is what is read in a statement by Father Guido Matarrese, head of the Centre Guanelliano, sent by the press office of Guanellianos to Fides. The Guanelliano farming community, located in the middle of the savannah, is about 120 km from Kinshasa, houses 20 street children for training and recovery projects, the primary school with over 220 children from nearby villages and an analysis surgery.
