AMERICA/BOLIVIA-Training, Domund and Bishops’ Letter: Assembly of diocesan Directors of the PMS

Tuesday, 28 June 2011

Trinidad (Fides Service) - The National Assembly of diocesan Directors of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) of Bolivia, in Trinidad, a town 600 kilometers from La Paz is on, during which several issues will be discussed concerning training. The meeting will be held from June 27 to July 1. Monsignor Eugenio Scarpellini, National Director of the PMS in Bolivia, reported in the note sent to Fides that "the first part of the meeting is devoted to the study and reflection on the Bishops Pastoral Letter 'Catholics in Bolivia today, the presence of hope and commitment ', which concerns the Bolivian reality and perspectives from our faith point of view".
Since at the meeting there are a number of new diocesan directors, it will also be necessary to take the issue of the PMS as such, the objectives, criteria, and the way they operate. Inside this issue what will be analyzed, as something specific, is the role of the diocesan Director of the PMS, to find out what will be their task and the expectations they should have. Other topics on the agenda will be linked to the prospect of World Mission (Domund) in October 2011: the preparation of materials, and printed aid and everything about the animation. Mgr. Scarpellini wishes all diocesan directors to participate in this meeting with courage, generosity and joy. (EC) (Agenzia Fides 06/28/2011)
