Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On May 13, 2011 the Holy Father Benedict XVI appointed Rev.do José Lampra Cà Auxiliary of the Diocese of Bissau (Guinea Bissau) , of the clergy of Bissau, Rector of the St. Kizito Minor Seminary and Professor of Philosophy, giving the titular of Leptimino.
Rev.do José Lampra Cà was born on January 5, 1964 at Blom, in the region of Biombo, in the Diocese of Bissau. He followed his studies in philosophy at the Major Seminary of Djibelor, Senegal, and those of theology at the Major Seminary of Sebikhotane, Senegal. He was ordained priest on 27 December 1997. After his ordination, he held the following positions: 1997-2000: Vice Rector of the Minor Seminary; 1998: Spiritual Director of the Franciscan Seminary; 1999-2000: National Director of Pontifical Mission Societies; 2000-2005: Studies for a Ph.D. in Philosophy at the Pontifical Urban University in Rome; 2004-2005: Training course for teachers at the Salesian Pontifical University in Rome; 2005-2006: Parish Priest of Christ the Redeemer in Bissau; since 2005: Rector of the Diocesan Minor Seminary, Professor of Philosophy at the Major Seminary of Bissau and Member of the Council of Priests.
