Saturday, 9 April 2011

Beijing Han Dan (Agenzia Fides) – 14 March, diocesan Bishop Giuseppe Li Shan of Beijing, inaugurated the first course of continuous formation for the priests of Beijing. It will go from March to June and then from September to December at the diocesan seminary, on two basic themes: “The Holy Trinity in the life of faith” and “People of God and priestly ministry”. Bishop Giuseppe Li Shan presided at the inauguration, encouraging the priests present to give maximum importance to their personal spirituality, and to live up to the expectations of the diocese and its faithful. According to information sent from the diocese to Fides, the organisation of this first annual formation course is motivated by the need to improve and strengthen theological knowledge, exchange information on methods of evangelisation, share pastoral care experiences and deepen the spirituality of diocesan priests. The course is divided into two parts: from March to June and from September to December. The priests who participate in the course will return to their parishes during weekends, to satisfy the needs of their pastoral care ministry. (NZ) (Agenzia Fides 09/04/2011)
