Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) – The new website for the International Secretaries of the Pontifical Mission Societies is now live, showing the history, goals, organisation and spirituality of the four Societies (Propagation of the Faith, St Peter Apostle, Holy Childhood, Missionary Union). Among the pages on the site, still under construction, is a section dedicated to annual events such as World Mission Day, Day for Youth Missionaries etc… In the section “Popes and Missions” there are all the missionary Encyclicals, Apostolic Exhortations and related missionary Messages and Addresses of each Pope from Pius XI to Benedict XVI. The letters written to missionaries by Blessed Paolo Manna, founder of the Pontifical Missionary Union, are in the Archives section, where there is also documentation relating to the four Societies, Administration, Domus Missionalis and the National Directorate. The gallery section with audio, video and photography is complete. In addition to contacts for the International Secretariat, the site also provides links to the websites of the National Executive of the Pontifical Mission Societies around the world.
