Xia Men (Agenzia Fides) – The three youth groups from the diocese of Xia Men, in the south-eastern Chinese province of Fu Jian, were protagonists in the diocesan celebration of the Solemnity of Christ the King, Sunday, 21 November. Under the guidance of Diocesan Bishop Cai Bing Rui, who was consecrated on 8 May with the Holy See's approval, the young people shared their experiences of faith and their testimony of life based on the theme “Union of Love” to “unite the hearts that love God, to sow the love they have for Christ.” According to information received by Fides, Bishop Cai presided over the solemn Eucharistic celebration in honour of Christ the King and also the youth meeting. At the end he told everyone: “We have concluded our meeting today, but it is a sign of a new beginning of the Christian life. You young people are the hope and the future of the Church. Looking at you we see hope. It's up to you to convey the Love of Christ to people you encounter”. The three church groups that took part in the celebration of the diocese, are composed of young Catholic university students, workers and employees. Thanks to the commitment and to the spiritual support offered by priests and religious, today a bright reality of evangelization and diocesan life is developing. (NZ) (Agenzia Fides 25/11/2010)
