Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) – On the occasion of the celebration of Rosh Ha-Shanah 5771, Yom Kippur and Sukkot, the Holy Father Benedict XVI sent the Chief Rabbi of Rome, Riccardo Di Segni, the following telegram: "In celebration of Rosh Ha-Shanah 5771, Yom Kippur and Sukkot, I wish to send you my most cordial and sincere greetings, to you and to the entire Jewish community of Rome, with the hope that these celebrations can be a source of blessings from the Lord and be a source of deep joy. May we all grow in the desire to promote the justice and peace that the world is so in need of today. With feelings of gratitude and affection, I remember my visit to the main temple. May God, in His goodness, protect the entire community and grant us the grace to grow in mutual friendship, in Rome and in the world. Benedictus PP. XVI." (SL) (Agenzia Fides 10/09/2010)
