Pu Tian (Agenzia Fides) – Over 800 faithful of the parish of Ping Hai, in the Diocese of Xia Men, received the Sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Joseph Cai Bing Rui of Xiamen (Hsiamen/Amoy), who was consecrated May 8, 2010 with the approval of the Holy See.
According to information sent to Agenzia Fides, on August 20, 6 diocesan priests concelebrated the solemn Mass. “May the Sacrament of Confirmation, effusion of grace carried out by the Holy Spirit, be a source of strength for your faith. Through the imposition of hands, you should become courageous watchmen for Christ, bearing witness to Him through your daily life. Today, along with the entire community, we reconfirm our baptismal promises, reaffirming our faith. Now you have received the mandate of the Holy Spirit, go and evangelize your neighbors,” Bishop Cai said. After the reception, Bishop Cai met with missionary animation leaders and catechists in the parish, encouraging them to continue on their path of commitment to evangelization.
