AMERICA/ARGENTINA - Pastoral Letter from the Bishop of Moron: “we must find specific forms of evangelisation suited to our reality ”

Wednesday, 16 June 2010

Moron (Agenzia Fides) – Bishop Luis Guillermo Eichhorn of the diocese of Moron, considers the recent Diocesan Mission Congress a "grace from the Lord", and has connected it with the Diocesan Pastoral Plan, to encourage the faithful to be “a Church which is communion, which is evangelising, missionary, a Church which prays, and by living and celebrating the Eucharist is filled afresh with love and with desire to show solidarity to the poorest of the poor, the sick, the marginalised and the excluded".
In his latest Pastoral Letter, a copy of which was sent to Fides, the Bishop of Moron states: "If we look at the Mission Congress from an overall point of view, we note marked ecclesial and pastoral unity, with emphasis on the missionary dimension, essential for the Church. Let us call to mind the goals of the Mission Congress: 'motivate the missionary vocation of our diocese; launch permanent mission in every parish, school and church movement, as the spirit behind all pastoral activity, help our parishioners play a leading role in mission, and for this purpose provide them with pastoral missionary guidelines. We must find specific forms of evangelisation suited to our diocesan reality, to encourage more operators and call more animators for mission, especially young people" the Bishop writes.
