Saturday, 20 March 2010

Kaohsiung (Agenzia Fides) – After 10 months of preparation, the Evangelization Association of the parish of St. Paul in Mu Dan, in the Diocese of Kaohsiung, has finally taken shape. According to information received by Fides, the work to be performed by the Association has been taking place already for over 10 years, carried out by the Parish Evangelization Commission. Today marks the beginning of a concrete structure designed to specifically promote evangelization in the parish, which is mainly composed of indigenous people. According to head of the Association, "in this shortage of priests, we need such a structure to coordinate all the work of evangelization. It is also a way to bring about lay participation in parish life and the life of the Church in general. Together, we give glory to God and commit ourselves to promoting communion. We ask the prayers of all to be able to pursue this initiative, so it can be useful for our 'Boss' in heaven." (NZ) (Agenzia Fides 20/03/2010)
