OCEANIA/AUSTRALIA - Cardinal Pell meets with the youth, in the spirit of WYD

Sydney (Agenzia Fides) – A series of events to meet with young people, hear their questions, thoughts, desires...This is the initiative involving Cardinal George Pell, Archbishop of Sydney, who, according to the Australian Church, will inaugurate next week a series meetings entitled "The Voice of the Youth." The meetings, which will be held in different areas and places of the Archdiocese - including parishes, schools, universities - will last from March to October, and will be monthly events organized along the lines of the style and catechesis held during the World Youth Day.
It is meant for the ages of 16-35. The days begin March 19, with Cardinal Pell.
The Australian Church, with this initiative, aims to keep alive the spirit of WYD and increase efforts in the field of youth ministry. "The meetings - says a note from the local church - want to give young people the opportunity to share their faith, but also to listen to testimonies, pray, and be together...learn more and think about the next World Youth Day."
