AMERICA/ARGENTINA - Catholic Action renews its commitment to the mission, starting in each parish

Thursday, 4 March 2010

Buenos Aires (Agenzia Fides) – On March 6 and 7, Mother of Mercy School will host the Annual Diocesan Assembly of Catholic Action for the Diocese of Avellaneda-Lanús. According to organizers, over 150 diocesan leaders and delegates from 25 parishes are expected to attend, to reflect on the challenges of current realities and on the role of leaders in the Church and the world. The Bishop of Avellaneda-Lanús, Bishop Ruben Frassia, will attend the diocesan meeting on Sunday, March 7, together with ecclesiastical advisers, when the leaders will take the commitment to "carry forward the project work of Catholic Action for Argentina in 2010-2012.” Within these three years, marked by the bicentenary celebration of the country, Catholic Action Argentina (ACA) wishes to live within their lay vocation, "a Providential time of mission and service starting with each parish community, where it is present through its aspirants, young people, and adults."
