ASIA/CHINA - Catholic volunteer group founded in Cheng An, Diocese of Han Dan, on Feast of the Chair of St. Peter

Han Dan (Agenzia Fides) - The parish of Cheng An, in the Diocese of Han Dan, in the He Bei Province, officially formed a group of Catholic volunteers on the Feast of the Chair of St. Peter, on February 22. According to information sent to Fides, in addition to encouraging adherence to the group of his parishioners, the parish priest of Cheng An also invited two volunteers from the parish of Xiang Fei, who have a long history of voluntary service, to share their knowledge and outline the principles in which the Catholic volunteers are different from other charities and are distinguished by the Christian principles they live. Led by their priest, following the formation of the group of Catholic volunteers, the parish intends to promote other initiatives, such as the group for the liturgy, reading the Bible .... to set in motion the pastoral and evangelization activities in the parish.
