AMERICA/ARGENTINA - 28th Missiology Course organized by the PMS, in concordance with Aparecida

Buenos Aires (Agenzia Fides) - The John Paul II Center for Missiology for the Southern Cone Region, which depends on the Pontifical Mission Societies in Argentina, has organized the 28th Missiology Course to be held from 25 January to 13 February 2010. In line with Aparecida, the course will be organized under the slogan: "Disciples and missionaries of Jesus Christ, so that our peoples may have life in Him" and is designed for priests, sisters, laity, and seminarians.
The course objectives are as follows: "on a journey of discipleship, to grow as disciples through study, reflection and prayer, promote the missionary training through the various disciplines of three areas: spirituality, study, and theological reflection (anthropology and culture) and the missionary experience.
The course will examine themes such as "The Theological Foundations of the Mission", "Anthropology and Culture for the mission," "History and overview of the mission," "Ethics and moral commitment to the mission." A retreat is also being planned, to meditate on "Paul as missionary and disciple" and "John as disciple and missionary." There will also be a workshop on: "The media at the service of mission."
