Oruro (Agenzia Fides) – The new authorities, no matter who they are, should always guarantee the good of each member of the entire Bolivian family, so they can live in freedom, so that there is respect for life and respect for the opinion of each person in their ideas, so there is always dialogue," said the Bishop of the Diocese of Oruro, Bishop Cristobal Bialasik, on the occasion of the presidential elections held on Sunday, December 6 (see Fides 26/11/2009, 05/12/2009).
The Bishop stressed that Sunday was a special day for the country, "a day of democracy in which we could all express our vote and our concern for the country, with the hope that the day after everything is quiet and peaceful, and that our vote was for the good of our country. We must restore hope in the hearts of all Bolivians." The Bishop stressed that this act should contribute to electoral democracy, “to looking ahead with hope to improve the quality of life and especially to live with respect, dignity, the protection of life and, in particular, serve to reinforce national unity."
