Vatluru (Agenzia Fides) – The new Minor Seminary of the “Opera Don Guanella” will be inaugurated on Saturday, 14 November, in Vatluru, Andhra Pradesh. The site opened on All Saints' Day 2008, with the laying of the cornerstone in the presence of the Superior Provincial Fr. Luigi De Giambattista, was closed in September 2009. "The 20 students in training," says Fr. Charles Pro, Director of the Seminary, "were housed in the spaces of Guanella Karunalaya, a home for orphans." Considering the growing desire of young people in the region to attend the seminary and interest in their religious formation, in 2008 the Congregation bought a plot of three acres to build a small house for the project.
