Ahmedabad (Fides Agency) - On June 12th His Excellency Monsignor Pedro Lopez Quintana, Apostolic Nuncio in India, shall preside over the Eucharistic Celebration opening the new Regional Seminary in the Diocese of Baroda, Gujarat State, western India.
The new compound consists in a group of buildings for didactic and academic work, and others to be used as seminary residence for students and seat for the Jesuit Fathers, the Carmelite Sisters and other sisters. The Seminary shall serve the whole Ecclesiastic Region, including the four dioceses of Ahmedabad, Baroda, Gandhinagar and Rajikot: believers will come from all four dioceses to take part in the opening of the new structure. Until 1998, the Regional Seminary used to be the Jesuit Fathers’ Seminary in Gujarat. (Fides Agency 3/6/2004 lines 15 words 151)
