ASIA/PAKISTAN - In this missionary month, Pakistani children pray for the Pope and with the Pope

Lahore (Agenzia Fides) – In this missionary month, Pakistani children are praying for and with the Pope. This has been the initiative launched by the Pontifical Mission Societies in Pakistan, in the Holy Childhood Association, which has organized events, campaigns, and prayers during the month of October for children and youth in schools and parishes.
The child's prayer is heard by the Lord with special attention...keeping this in mind, all children are specially invited to offer prayers for Pope Benedict XVI and his universal mission in Eucharistic Adoration and a prayer vigil.
Among the prayer intentions are also Bishops and priests, especially in this Year for Priests, so that they may be a light for the People of God. The prayer of children will also be united to the prayers of Pope Benedict XVI himself and will include all those situations of pain and suffering, war, affliction, and hunger that exist in the world. The children have thus developed the sense of their missionary vocation and solidarity with others their age who suffer from hunger and poverty. (PA) (Agenzia Fides 22/10/2009)
