VATICAN - The Holy Father at the summer residence of Castel Gandolfo

Castel Gandolfo (Agenzia Fides) – On the afternoon of July 29, the Holy Father Benedict XVI left the summer residence in Les Combes (Introd) in Valle d'Aosta, where he had been since July 13, and traveled by helicopter to the Turin-Caselle Airport where he got on a plane headed for Rome's Ciampino Airport. He then traveled by car to the summer residence in Castel Gandolfo. Prior to departing the Valle d'Aosta, the Pope greeted representatives of the police force, the civil guard, and local people, who have been assisting him in recent days. Later, in the afternoon, there was a farewell gathering with the Bishop and local authorities. (SL) (Agenzia Fides 30/7/2009)
