Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) – The Holy Father Benedict XVI, on July 25, 2009, accepted the renunciation of the pastoral government of the Diocese of Thai Binh (Vietnam) presented by Bishop Francois X. Nguyen Van Sang, in conformity with the Code of Canon Law, canon 401 § 1. The Pope appointed Bishop Pierre Nguyen Van De, SDB, until now Titular Bishop of Ammaedara and Auxiliary of Bui Chu.
