Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI on July 15, 2009, accepted the renunciation of the pastoral government of the Apostolic Vicariate of Camiri (Bolivia) presented by Bishop Leonardo Mario Bernacchi, OFM in conformity with the Code of Canon Law, canon 401 § 1. The Holy Father appointed Bishop Francesco Focardi, OFM, until now Titular Bishop of Cenculiana and Auxiliary of the Apostolic Vicariate of El Beni (Bolivia), as Apostolic Vicar of Camiri (Bolivia).
