Days of prayer have been organized in each of the parishes, in order to prepare for the event on the 18th. There is also “Christian Week” being celebrated on a diocesan level, with various activities and services. Among the events planned is a Youth Catholic Music Festival, exposition of the various activities and services in the diocese for laity, families, and youth, etc. Conference topics include: “Faith in Jesus Christ”; “Marian Devotion and Advocations”; “The Encounter with Christ”; “Christ Awaits You”; “The gift of being Catholic”; “The Evangelizing Mission of the Church”; “The Apostle Paul,” and more.
The 18th will begin with a Faith Procession from 4-5pm, that will begin from four different places in the city. At 5, there will be a conference on “The gift of being Catholic.” From 6-7, there will be a Holy Hour in Thanksgiving for Catholicism in the Diocese of Tuxtla.
