Han Dan (Agenzia Fides) - “Thank you, Jesus, for coming to abide in me; I want to be a soldier chosen by Jesus, like Saint Paul,” this was the longing and the commitment of 138 young people from the parish of Han Er Zhuang, in the Diocese of Han Dan, who participated in the Summer Camp held in honor of the Year of St. Paul, July 6-7. The catechists of the parishes and the elderly people from the assisted living center dedicated to St. Paul were in charge of organizing the catechism classes and the logistical needs of the youth. The catechists spoke about themes like “faith, life, and love.” According to the feedback from the youth, they learned what it means to have an intimate relationship with Christ, that is, how to translate faith into life and life into faith, “to be good, like He wants us to be.” “We also realized that we also have to be witnesses to the faith. We want to imitate our ‘big brother’ Paul, learning from him how to be missionaries and carry out a mission of evangelization.” They have also established friendly relations with the elderly from the Saint Paul assisted living center, whom they offered food and games to entertain them...The youth have promised the elderly that they will return soon to visit them.
