Vatican City (Fides News Agency) - The Holy Father Francis has appointed Reverend Sister Inês Paulo Albino, A.S.C., Counsellor of the Institute of Sisters Adorers of the Blood of Christ, as Secretary General of the Pontifical Society for Missionary Childhood.
Sister Inês Paulo Albino was born in Bula (Guinea-Bissau) on April 25, 1969 and made her Perpetual Profession in the Institute of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ on September 14, 1997. He holds a Licentiate in Biblical Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. Formerly Pastoral Manager in the Santa Maria de Mattias Parish in Ingoré and Director of the National Directorate of Pontifical Mission Societies in Guinea-Bissau, he worked in the field of evangelization, catechesis, teaching and apostolate of young people. Since 2022 she has been Counsellor and Economist of the Italian Region of her Religious Institute.
Sister Paulo Albino succeeds Sister Roberta Tremarelli, who led the Pontifical Society for Missionary Childhood as Secretary General for seven years, from 2017 to 2024 (Fides News Agency 24/8/2024)
