8 May - ST ULRICA NISCH, religious

After she entered the convent and pronounced first vows, Ulrica is first assigned to be assistant cook at Buhl, then cook at Baden-Baden. She performs her service according to the teaching of the motto: "completely devoted to the crucifix and therefore image for the others of the love of Christ."
Physical effort and a life of renunciation wear out her energies. Continuous severe headaches and finally tuberculosis bring her to her death.
She is beatified by John Paul II in Rome 1 November 1987.
