Deported around the year of our Lord 95 together with many other persons to the isle of Ponza because she confessed her faith in Christ, she dies in her house set afire in Terracina.

7 May - ST. FLAVIA DOMITILLA, martyr

A Roman patrician, niece of the Proconsul Flavio Clemente, Flavia Domitillai is accused of atheism. The Christians were defined atheists because they refused to adore the gods of Rome. The goods of many were confiscated, and then they were condemned to death.
Flavia incurred both condemnations for being a Christian and for refusing to marry a pagan. Her refusal cost her a long martyrdom, first in exile at Ponza, and then by death in her burning house at Terracina set afire by the brother of the youth who in vain had asked her to marry him.
