Montevideo (Fides Service) - United in faith and charity and in ecclesial affection for the Successor of Peter, the Catholic Bishops of Uruguay, together with the ecclesial community of the whole country offer prayers for the health of His Holiness John Paul II. The Bishops pray that John Paul II may overcome this difficulty and continue to guide the Church and they recommend him to the maternal protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary to whom he is deeply devoted.
