Nairobi (Fides Service)- The diocese of Nyahururu is mourning its Vicar General, Rev. Daniel Kariuki. Here is the statement issued by the diocese: “Our diocese of Nyahururu is again in mourning. Father Daniel Kariuki, aged 43 our Vicar General and parish priest of Ol Joro Orok, was killed in a road accident on Tuesday 23 November at about 6/45pm. We are closely united with our Bishop Luigi. We all loose a good friend, full of life, a man of great relational capacity and generosity . We share our grief with you counting on your prayers”.
The mission office of Padua diocese (Italy} sent the following message of condolence to the Bishop of Nyahururu, Bishop Luigi Paiaro and the diocese: “Dearly Beloved, we offer our sympathy to the Church in Nyahururu for the death of vicar general Rev. Father Daniel Kariuki. The Lord’s ways are not ours and they are difficult to understand. Let us pray together that we may accept his will and accept in with faith”. (L.M.)
