Vatican City (Fides Service) - The Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, is making a pastoral visit to Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia to meet the local Catholic communities, their bishops, clergy, men and women religious, seminarians and lay Catholics active in various sectors. Highlights of the visit will be solemn celebrations of Mass in Yangon Cathedral and Mandalay Cathedral, Myanmar (Burma). In Thailand the Cardinal will visit the Assumption Cathedral in Bangkok and the adjoining Assumption University. In Laos he will inaugurate a sports centre for disabled persons in Vientiane and in Cambodia he will meet the local clergy, men and women religious seminarians and laity. (S.L.)
