Taipei (Fides Service) - The archdiocese of Taipei has discovered that plays on Bible stories and the history of Christianity are an excellent means of introducing non believers to the Good News of Jesus Christ, Saviour of the world.
On September 25 the parish of St Dominic and six other parishes presented the third edition of the Christian Theatre and Culture Review. This third edition consisted of 7 plays on a variety of Christian subjects including the Story of Abraham, the Story of Ruth, the Miracles of Jesus, Jesus Walks on the Water and the Story of Lourdes”.
One special guest in the enthusiastic audience was the Archbishop of Taipei, Mgr. Cheng who remarked on the excellent organisation and scenery and also the expertise of the ‘actors’ local Christians, adults and children, of all ages. The first prize was awarded to the Story of Lourdes planned and performed by YongChun parish. The next event will be a Concert of Christmas Carols and Hymns on Christmas Day 25 December.
