Rome (Fides Service) - The first in a series of five DVD on the life and pontificate of Pope John Paul II will be on sale at newspaper stands in Rome from Friday October 8, with every copy of the Italian daily Il Giornale. Besides archived images some of the scenes included were filmed purposely for this work. In the first DVD the narrator is the Pope himself who speaks of his life. The next three DVD focus on the Holy Father's intense missionary ministry: images of joy, images of suffering, the Pope with crowds of young people, the Pope meeting world leaders, the Pope in remote parts of the globe on his missionary itinerary.
