Sydney (Fides Service) - Catholic Bishops of Australia have a new web site to meet the needs of the Church and be ever more attentive and present in the mass media and new technology spaces for evangelisation.
The new web site which has the old address www.acbc.catholic.org.au was organised by the Bishops’ Commission for Mass Media. The Commission is chaired Archbishop Barry Hickey, Archbishop of Perth. Praising and thanking his collaborators on the Commission the Archbishop said “for some time now the Bishops’ Conference wanted to make the Conference’s web site more interesting and user friendly”.
The site provides statements on the activity of the Church in Australia and information on various themes of interest and also a database to search for contacts in the Catholic community of this new continent.
