Rome (Fides Service) - The Italian Association for Health Pastoral, concerned with church activity in the world of health, has organised a National Meeting with the theme Health Pastoral integrated in Ordinary Pastoral to be held 5 to 9 October 2004 at the Shrine of Merciful Love in Collevalenza (PG). Integrated pastoral aims to offer everything we possess to others, in the name of Jesus Christ recognising in him the author of every good action on our part.
The members of the Association established on 13 November 1986 are priests, deacons and laity involved in health pastoral in hospitals and in the territory. In harmony with the Italian Bishops’ Conference Office for Health Pastoral and the Pontifical Council for Pastoral Care of health care workers and the Sick, in recent years the association has promoted this very delicate aspect of pastoral work in the Church in Italy and proposed it as ordinary pastoral in every diocese.
