Chia Yi (Fides) -Chia Yi diocese in central-western Taiwan has a traditional Day Pilgrimage every year. This year the Day was held on the eve of Pentecost with a programme packed with events. According to the bulletin issued by the Taipei archdiocese Christian Life Weekly the day was an opportunity for community prayer and discussion. Besides adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Holy Mass, there was a theatrical performance. The Bishop of Chia Yi presided the Mass and in his homily he congratulated three diocesan priests marking the 50th year of their priesthood and one Dominican nun who has completed her 50th year of consecrated life. The Bishop thanked the Lord for all the blessings he showers on the community and he thanked the priests and the Sister for devoting their life to evangelisation.
