EUROPE/ITALY - EXHIBITION ON MOTHER TERESA: A FEW POOR BELONGINGS, PHOTOGRAPHS, LETTERS, WRITINGS REVEAL HER SOUL – AND AFTERWARDS VISITORS ARE INVITED TO STOP A WHILE FOR EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

Rome (Fides Service) – Mother Teresa is a personality known and loved all over the world, but few people know about her spirituality: this is why the Postulators of her Beatification Cause have organised an exhibition to share the message, work and essential charism of the holy nun born in Albania and a missionary in India. But this is no ordinary exhibition. To enter more fully into spiritual communion with Mother Teresa after admiring the exhibits visitors, visitors may spend some time in an adjacent chapel where there will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
The Postulators say “Our intention is to help people meet the person of Mother Teresa, her humanity, her daily life. Through her poor belongings, photographs, writings, most of them never published, Mother will speak to the visitor”.
Her belongings include the crucifix of her religious profession, well worn prayer books, sandals which have seen better days, a nursing course notebook, international awards received.
The exhibition will be on show at Antonianum College in Rome, Via Merulana 124, 11-26 October openings hours 9-1 and 3 –7. PA (Fides Service 7/10/2003 EM lines 31 Words: 332)
