Vatican City (Fides Service) – The Holy Father, Pope John Paul II has (31 July 2003) accepted the resignation of the pastoral government of the Archdiocese of N’Djamena (Chad) presented by Archbishop Charles Vandame, in conformity with the Code of Canon Law, canon 401,1.
The Holy Father has appointed (31 July 2003) Metropolitan Archbishop of N’Djamena (Chad) Mgr Mathias N’Garteri Mayadi, until now Bishop of Moundou. (Fides Service 31/7/2003 EM lines 11 Words: 83)
