Bogota (Fides Service) -- A "Course in Missionary Pastoral
and Animation", promoted by the Council of Latin American
Bishops' Conferences (CELAM) through ITEPAL and DEMIS (Theological
Institute for Pastoral for Latin America and the Department of
Missions), in collaboration with the Pontifical Saverian University,
was opened yesterday 22 April, in Bogotà. The course which,
will last until June, will offer 180 hours of lessons for directors
of missionary pastoral, Missionary Childhood workers, Docents
of Missiology and pastoral workers from Colombia, Cuba, Curacao,
Salvador e Paraguay. The course aims to offer participants biblical-theological-pastoral
reflections on the missionary and the missionary activity of the
Church. Study themes of considerable importance will be addressed
by Latin American experts: Phenomenology of the religious fact
and evangelisation (Fr. Juan Bottasso, SDB - Ecuador); Kerigma,
New Evangelisation, Pastoral of Conservation and Catechesis (
Fr. Gustavo de Jesús Vélez Vásque - Colombia);
History of evangelisation. La Missione in e dall'America (Fr.
Joaquín García OSA - Perú); Christian mission
in the context of sectsa nd new reelious movements (Ms Amparo
Beltrán - Colombia); Evangelizzazione, promozione umana
e valori del Regno (Edgar Antonio López - Colombia); Spirituality
and Missionary Animation (Fr. Efrén Baldasso - Colombia).
