ASIA/NORTH KOREA - CHRISTIAN SOLIDARITY WORLDWIDE DENOUNCES VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS IN PRISON CAMPS

Seoul (Fides Service) - Two North Korean refugees have denounced the inhuman conditions of prisoner in detention camps in North Korea where violation of human rights is a consolidated practice. London based Christian Solidarity Worldwide CSW collected testimony from several persons who escaped from North Korean prison camps to other countries.
Christian Solidarity Worldwide has launched an appeal to the international community to use all its influence and pressure to put an end to this degrading practice in North Korea. Christian Solidarity Worldwide says that according to the United Nations the number of extra-judicial victims arrested or executed without a regular trial considering 50 years of regime is about one million.
