Monterrey (Fides Service) - In view of the 2nd All American Mission Congress CAM 2, which will be held 20-30 November 2003 in Guatemala City with the theme: "Church in America, your life is mission" the Pontifical Mission Societies in Mexico, in collaboration with various missionary Institutes, organised a preparatory meeting, 2nd National Meeting of Missionary Animation and Formation 17-21 February. The meeting is taking place at the Anglo-Spanish College in Monterrey in Mexico. The purpose of the meeting is to give new impulse to missionary animation, formation and organisation and also to strengthen the spirit of mission of bishops, clergy, seminarians members of institutes of consecrate life and lay missionaries. Other objectives of the meeting are: reflect on the conclusions of the National Missionary Animation Congress to render every particular Church more missionary; lay the basis for the formation of Mexican delegates who will take part in CAM; increase unity and spirituality of communion among dioceses, parishes, religious congregations and missionary movements. Themes for reflection will include: the missionary progress of Mexico; the missionary progress of Latin America; examination of the CAM 2 Work Plan, proposals and suggestions; organisation of Mexican delegation to CAM 2. This 2nd National Meeting of Missionary Animation and Formation will conclude with a solemn mass at the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. See CAM2 work plan in English and Spanish at www.fides.org.
